Trade Terms for Buyers Abroad

These are trade terms; shop orders follow Shipping & Returns. This page is for brands, retailers and wholesalers outside India who buy jewellery from VIBHINI to sell, from a new label's first collection to an established brand or a chain of stores.

Who these terms are for

These terms are for businesses outside India that buy jewellery to sell: brands, retailers, chain stores, wholesalers, designers and online jewellery businesses. Every trade order is quoted and agreed in writing for its own project.

Buying one piece for yourself? That is our shop or a Bespoke commission, and the terms there are written for customers, not for trade.

What to send in your brief

A complete first message gets you a quote sooner. Tell us:

• Your business, your country, and where the pieces will be sold.
• The design: a sketch, a reference image, a CAD file if you have one, or links to the designs on our website that you want under your brand.
• The metal: 925 silver, rhodium-plated or gold-plated, or 9K, 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, white or rose.
• The stone: laboratory-grown diamond or moissanite. For laboratory-grown diamonds, the shape, size, colour and clarity you need, and whether you need an IGI report.
• The quantity for each design, and the ring sizes or lengths you need.
• Your branding: your logo and your packaging.
• The date you need the first pieces, and the country they will be shipped to.

CAD: the computer drawing

We draw the CAD in-house, around your specification, in about 2 working days. The CAD is free. You don't need a CAD file of your own: a sketch, a reference image or a brief is enough. We make the sample only once you approve the CAD.

Samples

Samples are charged. A sample is made for your approval before anything goes into production, in about 7 working days.

Minimum order and production times

The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is one piece. The CAD takes about 2 working days, a sample about 7 working days to make, and production about 15 working days, or about 20 working days for 100 pieces or more.

One of our existing designs needs no CAD or sample, and takes about 12 working days.

Our workshop closes for Diwali. If your dates fall near it, see when to order for Christmas delivery abroad, or ask us.

What we make, in which metals and stones

Rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets and bangles, tennis jewellery, bridal and men's jewellery. We also set stones in custom watches.

• Gold: 9K, 10K, 14K and 18K, in yellow, white or rose.
• Silver: 925 silver, rhodium-plated or gold-plated.
• Hallmarks: trade orders shipped abroad are not BIS hallmarked as standard. If you need a BIS hallmark, tell us and we have the pieces hallmarked.
• Stones: laboratory-grown diamonds or moissanite. For a trade order we set laboratory-grown diamonds to the colour and clarity you ask for; our own designs use E–F colour and VVS–VS clarity. Moissanite is a different stone, not a diamond, and we don't give it a colour or clarity grade.
• Reports: laboratory-grown main stones above 1 carat come with an IGI report. Smaller stones don't come with individual reports.

Loose stones and mined diamonds

We supply loose laboratory-grown diamonds and moissanite to trade buyers, to a brief rather than from a list. Send the shape, size, colour, clarity, quantity and the report you need, and we come back with what we can source and what it costs.

• Laboratory-grown diamonds: colour D to J and clarity IF to SI, with other grades sourced on request.
• Mined diamonds: sourced on enquiry. Tell us the specification and the report you need.
• Every stone in our shop is a laboratory-grown diamond or a moissanite. A mined diamond is only ever sourced on enquiry.

Your brand on the piece

• Private label: your own design, made under your brand.
• White label: our existing designs, in the metal, colour and stone you choose, under your brand.
• Branding: your logo and your packaging, where you want them.

Payment

We don't publish trade prices. Tell us the design, the metal, the stones and the quantity, and we quote it in US dollars. Each project is quoted and agreed in writing.

• You pay part when you order and the rest before dispatch.
• Trade buyers outside India pay by PayPal or by bank transfer.
• For established companies, payment terms can be agreed.

Shipping abroad

Trade orders travel insured, with the export paperwork: a commercial invoice and a packing list. Import duty and taxes in your country are paid by you on arrival. The delivery terms on our Shipping & Returns page are for shop orders, not for trade.

Checks before dispatch

Approved pieces are made under the same checks as our own designs, and every trade order has a final inspection before it is packed.

Your design stays yours

If your brand asks, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). If the design is your own, we never sell it to anyone else.

Video calls and visits

We meet trade buyers by appointment, by video call or at our office in Surat, whose address is on our Contact page. Book by email or WhatsApp and we confirm a time with you. Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm India time (IST), so tell us your own time zone when you book.
