Christmas jewellery delivery abroad: when to order
Every piece of VIBHINI jewellery, in laboratory-grown diamond or moissanite, is made after you order it, in our own workshop in Surat, so a piece for Christmas abroad has to be ordered weeks ahead. Here are the dates, and what they allow for.
In short
For laboratory-grown diamond or moissanite jewellery delivered abroad before Christmas, order by 13 November. The last call is 20 November: ask us first, and we will tell you honestly whether your piece can reach you in time. Each piece takes about 15 days to make in Surat, counted from when you approve the design and your payment is confirmed, and delivery abroad then usually takes 8 to 10 working days, insured, signed for and with duties included.
The dates
- Order by 13 November for delivery abroad before Christmas.
- Last call: 20 November. Ask us before you order, and we will tell you whether your piece can reach you in time.
"Order" here means agreed and paid for, because the making time counts from when you approve the design and your payment is confirmed. So write to us well before the date, not on it.
Our workshop is closed for Diwali from 3 to 13 November and reopens on 14 November. An order agreed and paid during the break goes on the bench when we reopen, and the dates above already allow for that.
What the dates allow for
- Making: each piece takes about 15 days to make, in our own workshop in Surat.
- A photograph before it leaves. We photograph every finished piece and send you the picture before it is dispatched.
- Delivery abroad: usually 8 to 10 working days after dispatch.
Couriers and customs can occasionally add time, so the dates leave a margin for that. That margin is why these dates come earlier than the month ahead we suggest for other occasions abroad.
These are our usual times, not a promise of a date. If you need your piece by a particular day, tell us the date before you order.
Where we deliver, and how it arrives
We deliver from Surat to every country except Pakistan, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the UAE and the EU. Customs duty and import taxes are included in the price you pay us, and we settle them, so nothing further is payable when the parcel arrives. What delivery costs is explained in buying from India: delivery abroad.
Every parcel is insured for its full value, needs a signature on delivery and travels in plain outer packaging.
Getting the size right
Rings are made in US 6.5, bracelets 6.5 inches long and necklaces 16 inches long, and the prices shown are for those sizes. Any other size is made on request and quoted separately. Earrings and pendants need no size; pendants are priced without a chain, so tell us if you'd like one and we'll quote it.
Ring sizes in the UK, Europe and Australia are numbered differently from US sizes, so the safest figure to send us is a measurement in millimetres; we confirm the size with you before anything is made. For an engagement ring meant as a Christmas surprise, the same article shows how to find the size without asking; say in your message that it is a surprise, and we will keep it that way.
How to order in time
- Choose a design from our rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces or bracelets, or start from our gift ideas by budget.
- Send it to us with your choices, the size and the date you need it by: on WhatsApp at +91 70434 07831, or by email to info.vibhini@gmail.com. We reply Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm IST.
- We confirm the piece, the size, the price and the currency you'll pay, then send you a secure payment link. You pay in full when you order.
- We start making your piece once the payment is confirmed.
Every step is set out in made to order: how it works.
Stocking a shop or a brand for Christmas? These dates are for shop customers; trade orders are quoted and agreed in writing for each project, so see trade and wholesale.
If it isn't right
You can return any piece within 7 days of delivery, unworn, with its tag still attached. The return window counts from delivery, not from Christmas Day, so if a piece is to stay wrapped until the 25th, check it when it arrives. Contact us first and we will tell you how to send it. You pay for the return shipping, and the parcel must be insured for the piece's full value; neither the international shipping charge nor the customs duty we paid is refunded.
If a piece arrives damaged or defective, isn't as described or agreed, or reaches you later than the date we gave you for reasons within our control, we take it back and refund you in full, including the return shipping. The full terms are in Shipping & Returns.
Quick answers
- When should I order for Christmas delivery abroad?
- By 13 November, with the design agreed and paid for.
- Can I still order after 13 November?
- Until 20 November, yes, but ask us before you order. We will tell you honestly whether your piece can reach you before Christmas.
- Why is the order-by date so early?
- Nothing is made before you order it: each piece takes about 15 days to make, and delivery abroad then usually takes 8 to 10 working days. The time left over is a margin for couriers and customs.
- What should my first message include?
- The design, the metal and stone you have chosen, the size, and the date you need it by, so the piece can be agreed and paid for before the order-by date.
