Made to order: how it works, and how long it takes

Nothing in our workshop is made before someone chooses it. That is not a slogan about exclusivity; it is how the business is built. You pick the design, the metal, the colour, the stone and the size, and the piece is made for that order. Here is exactly what happens, and when.

In short

You choose the design, metal, colour, stone and size, and pay in full. Making takes about 15 days, and we photograph the finished piece and send you the picture before it ships. Delivery takes 3–4 working days in India (free) and 8–10 elsewhere (₹7,500, duties and import taxes included). Cancel free within 12 hours, or return within 7 days of delivery with the tag attached.

Why made to order

A shop with a case full of rings has already decided, on your behalf, what metal and what stone you want, and the price includes the cost of all the pieces that didn't sell. Making after the order means you choose the combination, the ring is made to your finger rather than resized to it, and you are not paying for stock sitting in someone's safe.

The trade-off is time. About 15 days of it.

Step by step

1. You choose. On any design, pick the metal, the gold colour or silver finish, and the stone. The price changes as you choose, so you always see the figure for the piece you are actually ordering.

2. You send the request. Tell us the design, your choices, your size if it isn't our standard (rings US 6.5, bracelets 6.5 inches, necklaces 16 inches; other sizes are quoted separately), and when you need it by. Ask anything at this point — this is the moment to change your mind cheaply.

3. We confirm. We write back with the piece, the choices, the size we have understood and the price, including anything specific to your order. Nothing goes further until you agree it. If you don't know your size, measure it at home and we will check your figures.

4. You pay. The full price, through a secure payment link. Card details never touch our website.

5. We make it. About 15 days. Casting, setting, polishing, checking. Laboratory-grown main stones above 1 carat go to IGI for a report during this time.

5a. You see it before it goes. We photograph every finished piece and send you the picture before it is dispatched — your actual piece, not the one on the website. If something isn't as you expected, that is the moment to say so.

6. It ships. We check and pack the piece, then dispatch it. Delivery is free across India, and every parcel is insured, needs a signature, and arrives in plain packaging. Allow 3 to 4 working days within India, and 8 to 10 working days elsewhere. We ship worldwide except Pakistan. Customs duty and import taxes on an overseas order are included in the price, and we settle them.

So from your yes to the parcel: roughly three weeks in India, a little more abroad.

Where you can change your mind

Within 12 hours of ordering, you can cancel for any reason and everything you paid is refunded, with nothing deducted. That is the window before your piece reaches the bench.

After 12 hours, the order can't be cancelled — the stones are being set for your size. But you are not stuck with it: when it arrives you have 7 days to send it back, with its tag still attached and unworn, and we refund the price of the piece. You pay the return postage.

Always, whatever the order type: anything faulty, not as described, or late for reasons within our control is taken back and refunded in full, including the return shipping. That is the law, and we would do it anyway.

The full terms are in Terms of Sale and Shipping & Returns.

After it arrives

Six months of warranty against manufacturing defects — we repair or replace, and we pay the shipping both ways. Beyond that, polishing stays free for as long as you own the piece, and a ring is resized free within one size of the size we made it, with you paying the postage; re-plating is free on gold and charged at cost on silver. These are for you as the original owner. Normal wear, accidental damage, loss and other people's alterations aren't covered by the warranty.

In a hurry?

Tell us the date before you order. We will say honestly whether it is possible rather than promise it and miss.

A design we don't list

Send it to us. We will tell you what is possible, what it would cost and how long it would take, before you commit to anything.
